Description
Create beautiful and mesmerizing eggshell geodes using recycled eggshells and vibrant colors. This fun craft is perfect for all ages and combines art with an educational twist.
Ingredients
- Clean, empty eggshells
- Food coloring or liquid watercolors
- White school glue
- Epsom salt or sugar
- Small bowls for mixing
- A tray or baking sheet for drying
- Optional: Glitter
Instructions
- Prepare the eggshells by rinsing and drying them completely. Poke a hole in the top of each shell for access.
- Mix 2 tablespoons of white glue with 1 tablespoon of water and add food coloring to achieve desired hue.
- Coat the inside of the eggshells with the colored glue mixture using a brush.
- While the glue is wet, sprinkle Epsom salt or sugar inside the shells and swirl to adhere the crystals.
- Place the eggshells on a tray to dry for 24 hours until the crystals form.
- Once dry, display your geodes in a sunny spot or arrange them decoratively.
Notes
Add essential oils for fragrance or glitter for sparkle. Experiment with different egg sizes and color blends for unique designs.
