Ingredients
- Clean eggshells (2-3)
- Water (1 cup)
- Borax (3 tablespoons)
- Food coloring (optional)
- Small container for soaking eggshells
- Spoon or stick for stirring
- Tray or baking sheet (for drying)

Instructions
- Prepare the Eggshells: Rinse the eggshells thoroughly to remove any residue and allow them to dry completely (few hours).
- Create the Borax Solution: Heat 1 cup of water in the microwave until hot but not boiling (2-3 minutes) and stir in 3 tablespoons of Borax until dissolved.
- Add Color (Optional): Add drops of food coloring to the Borax solution and stir to combine.
- Soak the Eggshells: Place the dried eggshells in the Borax solution, ensuring they are submerged. Soak for 24 hours.
- Dry the Crystals: Remove the eggshells with a spoon after soaking and place them on a tray to dry for an additional 24 hours. Watch as crystals form and grow!
