  • Heavy-bottomed saucepan

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying down parchment paper or a silicone mat on a flat surface and lightly greasing it with non-stick baking spray.
  2. Combine ingredients by mixing sugar, corn syrup, and water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat and insert the candy thermometer.
  4. Cook until the temperature reaches 300°F (hard crack stage), stirring occasionally.
  5. Add color and flavor by quickly stirring in food coloring and flavor extracts after removing from heat.
  6. Pour the hot mixture onto your prepared surface and let it spread out naturally.
