Description

Create visually stunning edible geode candies that resemble sparkling crystals, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin (unflavored)
  • Flavored extracts (optional)
  • Non-stick spray or oil (for greasing molds)
  • Edible glitter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the molds by greasing them lightly with non-stick spray or oil.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water in a 2:1 ratio. Add corn syrup and stir, heating the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Once dissolved, allow the mixture to boil undisturbed until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage), then remove from heat.
  4. Add a few drops of food coloring and optional flavored extracts, mixing gently to avoid air bubbles.
  5. Allow the syrup to cool slightly to about 250°F, then pour into prepared molds. Let it cool and harden for several hours or overnight.
  6. Once set, gently remove the candies from molds and roll in edible glitter if desired.
  7. Enjoy your creations or package them as gifts!

Notes

Experiment with different flavors and color combinations for custom designs. Store candies in an airtight container at room temperature.
