Description
Create a beautiful and delicious candy aquarium that combines creativity and culinary fun, perfect for all ages and occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 packet of gelatin (clear or blue)
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup of gummy candies (fish, sharks, etc.)
- 1/2 cup of blue candy melts or blue Jell-O
- Clear plastic aquarium or bowl
- Straws (optional, for additional decor)
- Edible glitter or sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, heat 1 cup of water until it’s steaming but not boiling. Stir in the gelatin until fully dissolved. Add in the remaining cup of water to cool down the mixture. Let it sit until slightly thickened.
- Pour a layer of the gelatin mixture into the base of your clear aquarium. Allow it to set in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes until firm but not completely hardened.
- Once the first layer is set, sprinkle gummy candies over the top. Pour another layer of gelatin over the candies, ensuring they’re partially submerged. Refrigerate again.
- Repeat the layer process until you reach the top of the aquarium, allowing each layer to set in between. For a pop of color, you could melt blue candy melts to drizzle on top and add edible glitter for shimmer.
Notes
Enjoy your candy aquarium within 2–3 days. Store covered in the refrigerator for best results.
