Description

A delightful and creative project to make an edible candy aquarium filled with gummy fish and blue gelatin.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup blue gelatin (Jell-O)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • Assorted gummy candies (fish, sea creatures)
  • Candy rocks or chocolate rocks
  • Edible seaweed (green gummy candy or fruit leather)
  • Clear plastic aquarium or glass bowl
  • Optional: edible glitter

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve the blue gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water. Stir well until completely dissolved. Let the mixture cool slightly.
  2. Pour the blue gelatin into the clear plastic aquarium or glass bowl, leaving space at the top for decorations.
  3. Place the aquarium in the refrigerator and allow the gelatin to set for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  4. Once the gelatin has set, gently insert assorted gummy candies to create the illusion of underwater creatures. Scatter candy rocks around the base.
  5. Use green gummy candy or fruit leather to create edible seaweed and place around the aquarium.
  6. For an extra touch, sprinkle edible glitter over the gelatin before serving.

Notes

Experiment with different flavored gelatins and candies for a fun twist. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator, but it’s best enjoyed fresh.
