  • Candy thermometer
  • Heat-resistant spatula
  • Candy molds or a greased baking sheet

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace: Clean up your area and ensure all materials and tools are within reach. Grease your molds or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine ingredients in a saucepan: Mix sugar, corn syrup, and water.
  3. Heat to dissolve: Over medium heat, stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves completely.

  5. Monitor temperature: Clip a candy thermometer to the side of the pan and cook until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage). Remove from heat.
