Description

A delightful DIY project to create a beautiful glass bead heart suncatcher that adds color and charm to your home.

Ingredients

  • Glass beads in various colors
  • Clear acrylic or resin
  • Heart-shaped mold (silicone molds work great)
  • Fishing line or thin wire for hanging
  • Paintbrush (for applying resin)
  • Gloves (for handling resin)
  • Scissors
  • Optional: glitter or sequins for added sparkle

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by setting up a clean, flat surface and laying down protective covering.
  2. Arrange the glass beads inside your heart-shaped mold, experimenting with different patterns.
  3. Mix the resin according to the package instructions and pour it over the beads.
  4. Remove any air bubbles by gently tapping the mold and using a paintbrush if necessary.
  5. Cure the suncatcher as per the resin package instructions (usually 24 hours).
  6. Remove the suncatcher from the mold once it is fully cured.
  7. Add a length of fishing line or thin wire, tying it securely to the top of the suncatcher.

Notes

Experiment with different shapes, colors, and materials to personalize your suncatcher. Consider UV-resistant materials for outdoor hanging.
