Description
These Air Fryer Cherry Cheesecake Egg Rolls combine the creamy richness of cheesecake with the sweet-tart flavor of cherry pie filling, all wrapped in a golden, crispy shell. A perfect dessert for cozy winter nights!
Ingredients
For the Cheesecake Filling:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
For the Egg Rolls:
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for sealing)
- Cooking spray or melted butter (for air frying)
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Chocolate or caramel sauce (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Cheesecake Filling
-
In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
-
Gently fold in the cherry pie filling and lemon zest (if using). Do not overmix—you want some whole cherries in each bite!
Step 2: Assemble the Egg Rolls
-
Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.
-
Spoon about 2 tablespoons of cheesecake filling onto the center.
-
Fold in the sides, then roll up tightly, sealing the edges with the cornstarch-water mixture.
-
Repeat with remaining wrappers.
Step 3: Air Fry to Crispy Perfection
-
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
-
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
-
Place egg rolls seam side down in a single layer. Spray tops with cooking spray or brush with melted butter.
-
Air fry for 7-9 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
-
Let the egg rolls cool for a few minutes.
-
Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce, if desired.
-
Serve warm with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee!
Notes
- Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest texture.
- Don’t overfill, too much filling can cause leaks while air frying.
- Seal tightly to prevent opening during cooking.
