A fun and easy craft that transforms plain rice into colorful treasures for sensory bins and educational activities.
Ingredients

- 1 cup dry rice
- Food coloring or natural dye (turmeric, beet juice, etc.)
- 1 tablespoon vinegar (optional, enhances color)
- Ziplock bags or bowls for mixing
- Baking sheet for drying
Instructions
- Measure 1 cup of dry rice and place it in a Ziplock bag or bowl.
- Add 1-2 drops of food coloring or mix natural dye with water and pour it over the rice.
- If using vinegar, add it to the mixture for improved dye effect.
- Seal the bag and shake, or stir the bowl until the rice is evenly coated.
- Spread the dyed rice on a baking sheet and allow it to air dry for at least 15-20 minutes or until completely dry.
