Description
Create adorable DIY toilet paper roll bats for Halloween decorations or gifts using simple materials and techniques.
Ingredients
- Empty toilet paper rolls (1 per bat)
- Black acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Black construction paper
- Googly eyes or white paper for eyes
- Glue (craft or hot glue)
- Optional: Craft sequins, glitter, or ribbon for embellishment
Instructions
- Prepare the Toilet Paper Roll: Paint the entire toilet paper roll black using the paintbrush. Ensure an even coat and let it dry completely for a smooth finish.
- Create Bat Wings: Cut out two bat wing shapes from the black construction paper. Each wing should be large enough to span the roll’s width but can be any shape you like.
- Attach the Wings: Once the roll is dried, use glue to attach the wings to the sides of the roll. Press firmly to ensure they stick well.
- Make Bat Features: Glue googly eyes onto the front of the roll, or cut out small white circles from paper and draw pupils to create eyes. For added personality, you can also draw a mouth or fangs.
- Final Touches: If desired, sprinkle sequins or glitter over the bat for a magical touch. Let everything dry fully before displaying.
Notes
For added customization, feel free to use vibrant or pastel colors, different wing shapes, or add small accessories like ribbons.
