Description

Transform old red crayons into stunning suncatchers that brighten up any window with vibrant colors.


Ingredients

  • Red crayons (broken or old)
  • Oven-safe silicone mold (suncatcher shapes)
  • Baking sheet (optional, for easy transfer)
  • Parchment paper (optional, for easy cleanup)
  • Scissors
  • Knife (for adult use only)

Instructions

  1. Sort the crayons and remove paper wrappers.
  2. Break crayons into small pieces, about 1-inch chunks.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C).
  4. Place crayon pieces in the silicone molds, filling each section generously.
  5. Put the molds on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until melted.
  6. Remove from oven and cool at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Gently pop the suncatchers out of the molds.
  8. If desired, tie a piece of string through the top for hanging.
  9. Find a sunny window to showcase your new creations.
