Description

Create vibrant suncatchers using old crayons to brighten your living space with colorful reflections.

Ingredients

  • Red crayons (or any colors you prefer)
  • Clear plastic sheets or wax paper
  • Cookie cutters (various shapes)
  • An oven or toaster oven
  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • Scissors
  • String or ribbon (for hanging)
  • Optional: Markers or paints for additional embellishments

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
  2. Remove wrappers from crayons and break them into small pieces.
  3. Place broken crayon pieces inside cookie cutters on the baking tray.
  4. Carefully place the tray in the preheated oven and watch for melting (about 5-10 minutes).
  5. Once melted, remove the tray and allow to cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, gently remove shapes from cookie cutters.
  7. Cut a piece of string or ribbon, poke a small hole in the suncatcher and tie for hanging.

Notes
