Description
Create vibrant suncatchers using old crayons to brighten your living space with colorful reflections.
Ingredients
- Red crayons (or any colors you prefer)
- Clear plastic sheets or wax paper
- Cookie cutters (various shapes)
- An oven or toaster oven
- Baking tray
- Parchment paper
- Scissors
- String or ribbon (for hanging)
- Optional: Markers or paints for additional embellishments
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
- Remove wrappers from crayons and break them into small pieces.
- Place broken crayon pieces inside cookie cutters on the baking tray.
- Carefully place the tray in the preheated oven and watch for melting (about 5-10 minutes).
- Once melted, remove the tray and allow to cool completely.
- Once cooled, gently remove shapes from cookie cutters.
- Cut a piece of string or ribbon, poke a small hole in the suncatcher and tie for hanging.
Notes
Feel free to mix crayon colors and experiment with different cookie cutter shapes for unique designs.
