Description
Create a dazzling DIY rainbow light show that brightens up your space and adds a splash of color.
Ingredients
- String lights (preferably white or clear)
- Colored cellophane sheets (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet)
- Scissors
- Tape or glue
- Clear plastic or cardboard (to create a backing)
Instructions
- Cut the colored cellophane sheets into squares (about 4 x 4 inches).
- Stack the squares in the order of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet).
- Use tape or glue to affix the colored squares over the bulbs of the string lights.
- Hang your string lights in your desired location, whether across a wall, around a window, or draped on furniture.
- Turn on the lights and enjoy the soft glow of colors filling the space.
- If desired, create a backing using clear plastic or cardboard to help hold the colors in place and provide a clean look.
- Step back and ensure each light bulb is covered properly for maximum impact.
