Description

Create a stunning Rainbow Crystal Forest with simple materials and easy steps. This craft project is both fun and educational as it teaches about crystal formation.

Ingredients

  • Epsom salts or sugar
  • Water
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Jars or containers (clear)
  • Spoon for stirring
  • Heat source (stove or microwave)
  • Optional: Glitter for extra sparkle

Instructions

  1. Boil water until steaming hot. Add Epsom salts or sugar, stirring constantly until saturation is reached.
  2. Pour the saturated solution into jars or containers, leaving space at the top.
  3. Add food coloring to each jar and stir gently.
  4. Place jars in a stable location and wait for 24-48 hours for crystals to form.
  5. Once crystals have formed, remove and arrange them to create a forest scene. Optionally, sprinkle glitter on top.

Notes

Experiment with different food coloring combinations and scents. Use various containers for unique crystal growth effects.
