Description

An engaging DIY project for all ages that transforms simple materials into colorful paper plate ice cream cones.

Ingredients

  • Large paper plates
  • Small paper plates
  • Acrylic paint (various colors)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Scissors
  • Glue or glue sticks
  • Construction paper (brown or tan for cones)
  • Optional: glitter, stickers, pom-poms, and googly eyes for decoration

Instructions

  1. Select different acrylic paint colors to represent your favorite ice cream flavors.
  2. Use a paintbrush to cover the large paper plates with your selected colors, creating a vibrant scoop effect.
  3. Cut out a triangle from the construction paper for the cone.
  4. Roll the triangle into a cone shape and glue the edges together to close the tip.
  5. Once the paint is dry, glue the painted paper plates on top of the cone to form your ice cream.
  6. Add glitter, pom-poms, or stickers for decoration.

Notes

Make it a fun family activity by customizing colors and materials. Supervised toddlers can participate but be cautious with craft tools.
