Description

A simple and natural way to freshen up your home with the bright scent of oranges.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed is best)
  • Optional: 10-15 drops of orange essential oil
  • Small jar or container for storage

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: Begin by bringing 1 cup of water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
  2. Dissolve Gelatin: Once boiling, remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in 1 tablespoon of gelatin until fully dissolved.
  3. Add Ingredients: Stir in 1 tablespoon of salt, followed by 1 cup of orange juice. If desired, add 10-15 drops of orange essential oil for an extra punch of fragrance.
  4. Cool and Set: Pour the mixture into your small jar or container. Allow it to cool to room temperature. As it cools, it will start to set and gel.
  5. Place and Enjoy: Once set, place your DIY orange gel air freshener in your desired location. Enjoy the delightful citrus aroma filling your space!

Notes

For a thicker gel, increase the amount of gelatin used. Feel free to customize scents using different citrus juices.
