Description

Create beautiful and eco-friendly orange candles that fill your home with a delightful citrus aroma.

Ingredients

  • Oranges (halved)
  • Candle wax (beeswax or soy wax recommended)
  • Wick (cotton or wooden)
  • Essential oils (optional for extra fragrance)
  • Double boiler or microwave-safe container
  • Knife and spoon
  • Scissors
  • Heatproof surface

Instructions

  1. Cut the oranges in half carefully with a knife.
  2. Use a spoon to scoop out the fruit, leaving a hollow peel to serve as your candle holder.
  3. Place the candle wax in a double boiler over medium heat or use a microwave-safe container.
  4. Heat until the wax is fully melted. Stir occasionally for consistency.
  5. If desired, mix in a few drops of your chosen essential oil for an extra boost of scent.
  6. Place the wick in the center of the orange peel and use a bit of melted wax to hold it in place.
  7. Carefully pour the melted wax into each orange peel, ensuring the wick remains centered.
  8. Allow the wax to cool and harden completely. This may take a few hours depending on the size of the candle.

Notes

Experiment with different citrus fruits and essential oil combinations to customize your candles.
