Description

Delightful no-bake treats combining chewy marshmallows and nuts, perfect for sharing with loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups marshmallows (mini or regular)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (dark or milk as preferred)
  • 1 cup nuts (peanuts, almonds, or your favorite), roughly chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Quickly add the rice cereal and nuts into the marshmallow mixture. Stir until everything is well coated.
  5. Allow the mixture to cool slightly. With buttered hands or using a greased spatula, scoop and shape the mixture into bite-sized “rocks.”
  6. Gently melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the formed moon rocks or dip them into the chocolate for an extra layer of flavor.
  7. Dust your moon rocks with powdered sugar for a finishing touch!
  8. Place the moon rocks in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set.

Notes

Nut-free option available. Experiment with flavors and toppings!
