Description

A fun and creative DIY project to make colorful and textured moon rocks perfect for decoration and sensory play.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of glue (white or clear)
  • 1 cup of shaving cream
  • Food coloring or liquid watercolors
  • 2 cups of cornstarch (adjust as needed)
  • Wax paper or baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon for stirring
  • Optional: Glitter for added sparkle

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of glue.
  2. Add 1 cup of shaving cream to the glue.
  3. Add a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolors into the mixture and mix well.
  4. Gradually add 2 cups of cornstarch to the mixture and stir until it forms a dough-like consistency.
  5. Using your hands, form the mixture into small, irregular shapes resembling rocks.
  6. Place the formed moon rocks on wax paper or a baking sheet and allow them to dry completely for about 24-48 hours.

Notes

Custom scents can be added with essential oils. Experiment with different colors and textures using glitter for shimmer.
