- Oven
- String or fishing line (for hanging)
- Drill with a small bit (optional, for making holes)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Place your metal cookie cutter or silicone mold on the parchment paper.
- Fill the cookie cutter or mold with plastic pony beads, ensuring they’re snug but not overcrowded.
- Carefully place the baking sheet in the oven.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the beads have fully melted into a solid shape.
- Once melted, take the baking sheet out of the oven and let the melted beads cool completely (about 30 minutes).
- Gently remove the suncatcher from the mold or cookie cutter.
- If desired, use a drill to make a small hole in the top of the suncatcher.
- Thread the string or fishing line through the hole for hanging.
Notes
Experiment with color combinations, shapes, and layering for unique designs. Avoid using glass beads as they will not melt.
