Description

A fun and creative project for making unique DIY Magic Treasure Rocks using simple materials.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dish soap
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Silicone molds or ice cube trays
  • A mixing bowl
  • Spoon for stirring
  • Baking sheet (optional for drying)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1/2 cup of water. Stir well until it forms a paste, adding more water if necessary.
  2. Stir in 1 tablespoon of dish soap for a bubbly effect! Divide the mixture into separate bowls depending on how many colors you want to use. Add food coloring to each bowl, mixing until you get your desired shades.
  3. Spoon the colored mixtures into the silicone molds or ice cube trays. Press down gently to pack the mixture firmly.
  4. Drizzle a little vinegar over the packed molds to see the fizzing reaction. Let the molds sit for 24 hours to dry completely.
  5. Carefully pop out the Magic Treasure Rocks from the molds. Store them in a cool, dry place or your treasure display!

Notes

Customize colors and add glitter or essential oils for unique designs. This project is perfect for parties or family activities.
