Description

Learn how to create your own DIY lava lamp using simple ingredients, perfect for both kids and adults.


Ingredients

  • Clear plastic bottle or glass jar
  • Water
  • Vegetable oil
  • Food coloring
  • Alka-Seltzer tablets (or baking soda and vinegar)
  • Optional: Funnel

Instructions

  1. Start with a clean, empty bottle or jar. Use a funnel if necessary for easy pouring.
  2. Fill the bottle about one-quarter full with water.
  3. Carefully add vegetable oil until the bottle is almost full, leaving some space at the top.
  4. Drop in a few drops of your chosen food coloring.
  5. Break an Alka-Seltzer tablet into smaller pieces. Add one piece at a time and watch the bubbling reaction.
