Ingredients
- Clear plastic bottle (16 oz or larger)
- Water
- Vegetable oil
- Food coloring (any color)
- Alka-Seltzer (or any effervescent tablet)
- Optional: Glitter or small beads for extra flair
Instructions
- Fill the Bottle: Fill the plastic bottle about one-quarter full with water.
- Add Oil: Pour vegetable oil into the bottle until it’s nearly full, leaving some space at the top.
- Mix Coloring: Add several drops of food coloring to the water and watch as the color sinks through the oil.
- Drop in Alka-Seltzer: Break an Alka-Seltzer tablet into smaller pieces. Add one piece at a time and observe the bubbly movements.
- Optional Glitter: Add a pinch of glitter or small beads for a sparkling effect.
- Seal and Enjoy: Tighten the cap and enjoy the mesmerizing movement, adding more Alka-Seltzer as needed to reuse.
