Ingredients

  • Green crayons (or other colors if you choose)
  • Wax paper
  • Iron
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • String or ribbon (for hanging)
  • Optional: Other colored crayons for variety

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying out your materials and protecting the work surface.
  2. Grate the green crayons into small shavings using a cheese grater (adult supervision required).
  3. Cut two pieces of wax paper to your desired size and outline raindrop shapes on one piece.
  4. Sprinkle crayon shavings onto the outlined shapes on the wax paper.
  5. Place the second piece of wax paper on top and carefully iron over it on a low setting until the shavings melt together.
  6. Let it cool, then cut out the raindrop shapes and attach a string or ribbon for hanging.

Notes

Experiment with colors and shapes for unique designs. Use a hair straightener if you don’t have an iron.
