Description

Create a vibrant and whimsical goldfish lantern using tissue paper, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • Orange tissue paper
  • Yellow tissue paper
  • White tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick or liquid glue
  • Balloon (inflated)
  • LED tea light or string lights
  • Paintbrush (if using liquid glue)
  • Optional: black marker for eyes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the balloon by inflating and tying it securely.
  2. Tear or cut the orange, yellow, and white tissue paper into small squares (about 2×2 inches).
  3. Apply a thin layer of glue on a section of the balloon using the glue stick or paintbrush.
  4. Stick the orange tissue paper onto the glued area, layering slightly to cover the balloon completely.
  5. Add details with yellow and white tissue papers for fins and eyes.
  6. Allow the lantern to dry completely for a few hours.
  7. Carefully pop the balloon and remove it from the lantern structure.
  8. Insert an LED tea light or string lights safely inside for illumination.
