Description

Create colorful, translucent suncatchers that brighten any room and foster artistic expression.

Ingredients

  • Clear school glue or craft glue
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Wax paper or plastic sheet
  • Paintbrush or spoon
  • Scissors
  • String or fishing line (for hanging)
  • Optional: Glitter, sequins, or other embellishments

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying down wax paper or a plastic sheet on a flat surface.
  2. In a bowl, mix clear glue with a few drops of food coloring using a paintbrush or spoon until well blended.
  3. Spoon or brush lines, shapes, or fills of the colored glue onto the wax paper, mixing colors as desired.
  4. Allow the glue design to dry completely, which may take up to 24 hours.
  5. Once dry, carefully peel the suncatcher off the wax paper and trim into your desired shape, attaching string or fishing line for hanging.

Notes

Experiment with different color combinations and thicknesses of glue designs for unique effects. Optionally use templates for shaping suncatchers.
