Description

Create your own safe, non-toxic glue with common household ingredients, perfect for various crafts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon glycerin (optional)
  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Airtight container for storage

Instructions

  1. Gather Ingredients: Collect all your materials in one clean space to avoid any mishaps during the process.
  2. Prepare the Mixture: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. Stir in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of sugar using a whisk or spoon until fully dissolved.
  3. Heat the Mixture: Place the saucepan over medium heat. Continue stirring until the mixture starts to thicken, about 3-5 minutes, until it becomes smooth and glossy.
  4. Optional Glycerin: If desired, add 1/2 teaspoon of glycerin to enhance flexibility and durability. Stir well to combine.
  5. Cool and Store: Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the glue to cool. Once cooled, pour into an airtight container for storage.

Notes

For thicker glue, add more cornstarch; for thinner, add a bit more water. Add essential oils for scent, or food coloring for color.
