Description

An exciting DIY project for creating charming glowing pumpkin jar lanterns, perfect for autumn and festive occasions.

Ingredients

  • Empty glass jars (mason jars work great)
  • Orange and green tissue paper or paint
  • Mod Podge or white glue
  • Paintbrush
  • LED tealights or candles
  • Scissors
  • Optional: black marker or paint for faces

Instructions

  1. Clean the glass jars thoroughly and dry completely.
  2. Cut orange tissue paper into 2×2 inch squares or strips. Apply Mod Podge/glue to the jar’s surface and place tissue pieces over it, overlapping slightly.
  3. Cut green tissue paper for leaves and a vine and attach them to the top with glue.
  4. Allow jars to dry completely for about an hour.
  5. Place an LED tealight or small candle inside the jar, being cautious with real candles.
  6. Display your glowing pumpkin jar lanterns around your home to create a festive atmosphere.

Notes

Use different colors of tissue paper for variety. Add glitter to Mod Podge for a sparkling effect. Consider using solar-powered lights for outdoor settings.
