An exciting DIY project for creating charming glowing pumpkin jar lanterns, perfect for autumn and festive occasions.
Ingredients
- Empty glass jars (mason jars work great)
- Orange and green tissue paper or paint
- Mod Podge or white glue
- Paintbrush
- LED tealights or candles
- Scissors
- Optional: black marker or paint for faces
Instructions
- Clean the glass jars thoroughly and dry completely.
- Cut orange tissue paper into 2×2 inch squares or strips. Apply Mod Podge/glue to the jar’s surface and place tissue pieces over it, overlapping slightly.
- Cut green tissue paper for leaves and a vine and attach them to the top with glue.
- Allow jars to dry completely for about an hour.
- Place an LED tealight or small candle inside the jar, being cautious with real candles.
- Display your glowing pumpkin jar lanterns around your home to create a festive atmosphere.
Notes
Use different colors of tissue paper for variety. Add glitter to Mod Podge for a sparkling effect. Consider using solar-powered lights for outdoor settings.
