Description

Create enchanting glow-in-the-dark fireflies with simple materials, perfect for decorations indoors or outdoors.


Ingredients

  • Clear plastic bottles (small)
  • Glow-in-the-dark paint or glow sticks
  • Black construction paper or cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Wire (floral or craft wire)
  • LED mini lights (optional)
  • Paintbrushes (if using paint)
  • Optional: Glitter for added sparkle

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Bottles: Clean the bottles and cut them in half.
  2. Painting the Bottles: Apply glow-in-the-dark paint inside or outside the bottle and let it dry.
  3. Crafting the Firefly Bodies: Cut wings from black construction paper and attach to the bottle with hot glue.
  4. Create the Antennae: Bend wire into shapes and attach to the bottle top.
