Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tbsp of unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup of salt
- 1–2 tsp of essential oils (e.g., lavender, lemon, eucalyptus)
- Food coloring (optional)

Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 tbsp of unflavored gelatin. Stir well and let it sit for about 5 minutes to allow the gelatin to bloom.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the gelatin has fully dissolved, making sure not to boil the mixture.
- Once the mixture is clear, add 1/2 cup of salt and stir. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before adding 1-2 tsp of your chosen essential oils and a few drops of food coloring if desired.
- Pour the mixture into small jars. Allow the gel to set at room temperature for a few hours or until firm.
- Place your gel air fresheners in desired areas around your home for a fresh, pleasant scent.
Notes
