Description

Engage your children in a fun and creative project by making colorful dinosaur-themed suncatchers using tissue paper and contact paper.

Ingredients

  • Colorful tissue paper (green, blue, yellow, etc.)
  • Clear contact paper
  • Scissors
  • Dinosaur templates (printable or handmade)
  • Pencil or marker
  • Optional: Glitter or sequins for added sparkle

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workspace: Clear a flat surface and lay down newspaper to catch spills.
  2. Create Your Dinosaur Templates: Print out or draw dinosaur shapes on paper and outline them with a marker.
  3. Cut the Tissue Paper: Tear or cut the tissue paper into small squares or shapes.
  4. Assemble the Suncatcher: Place a piece of contact paper sticky side up and position the dinosaur template on top. Let your child fill it with tissue paper pieces.
  5. Seal and Cut: Place another piece of contact paper sticky side down over the design, smooth out air bubbles, and cut around the dinosaur shape.
  6. Hang and Enjoy: Use tape or string to hang the suncatcher in a sunny window.

Notes

For added sparkle, consider incorporating glitter or sequins. Experiment with colors and shapes based on your child’s preferences.
