Ingredients

- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Dinosaur figurines or molds
- Food coloring (optional)
- Plastic or disposable tablecloth (for easy cleanup)
- Mixing bowl
- Baking tray
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and 2 tablespoons of baking powder. Stir well.
- Gradually add 1 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the dry mixture. Mix until it’s doughy.
- If desired, add food coloring and knead until the color is distributed.
- Flatten a small portion of dough and press a dinosaur figurine into it to create an impression.
- Place fossils on a baking tray and preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C). Bake for 2-3 hours until hard.
- Allow fossils to cool completely and decorate if desired.
Notes
Swap materials with whole wheat flour for a different texture, or use cookie cutters for accents. Store unused dough in the refrigerator.
