Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and 2 tablespoons of baking powder. Stir well.
  2. Gradually add 1 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the dry mixture. Mix until it’s doughy.
  3. If desired, add food coloring and knead until the color is distributed.
  4. Flatten a small portion of dough and press a dinosaur figurine into it to create an impression.
  5. Place fossils on a baking tray and preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C). Bake for 2-3 hours until hard.
  6. Allow fossils to cool completely and decorate if desired.

Notes

Swap materials with whole wheat flour for a different texture, or use cookie cutters for accents. Store unused dough in the refrigerator.
