Description

Create a fun and colorful DIY Dino Egg Piñata that’s perfect for parties and celebrations. This engaging craft is easy to customize and fill with surprises!

Ingredients

  • Balloons (preferably large)
  • Newspaper or tissue paper (for layering)
  • Flour or white glue (for the paste)
  • Water (for the paste)
  • Paint (non-toxic)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Scissors
  • String (for hanging)
  • Treats and toys (for filling)
  • Optional: Clear cellophane (for a shiny finish)

Instructions

  1. Mix 1 part flour with 2 parts water in a bowl to create the paste.
  2. Inflate your balloon to about the size of a large egg and tie the end securely.
  3. Tear newspaper or tissue paper into strips, dip them into the paste, and layer them onto the balloon.
  4. Cover the balloon with at least 3-4 layers, allowing each to dry completely.
  5. Pop the balloon once the layers are dry and remove it from the hardened shell.
  6. Use paintbrushes to paint your dino egg in vibrant colors and add details.
  7. Fill the piñata with treats and toys and seal the opening with more paper mache or paint.
  8. Attach a string for hanging and prepare for the excitement!

Notes

Customize colors for your theme and consider varied fillings like non-candy items. Adding sequins can give your piñata extra sparkle.
