Ingredients
- Large balloons (for egg shape)
- Newspaper strips
- Flour
- Water
- Bowl (for the paste)
- Paint (various colors)
- Tissue paper (in dino colors)
- String or twine
- Candy or small toys (for stuffing)
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
- Tape
Instructions
- Prepare the Paste: In a bowl, mix 1 part flour with 2 parts water. Stir until smooth, then set aside.
- Inflate the Balloon: Inflate a large balloon to your desired egg size and knot it securely.
- Apply Newspaper Strips: Dip newspaper strips in the flour paste, covering them fully. Apply the strips onto the balloon, overlapping them until fully covered. Leave a small opening at the top for filling later.
- Dry the Piñata: Place the balloon in a horizontal position and let it dry for 24-48 hours until completely hard.
- Paint Your Egg: Once dry, paint the piñata in vibrant colors or patterns resembling a dinosaur egg. Allow the paint to dry completely before proceeding.
- Fill the Piñata: Carefully pop the balloon and remove it. Fill the hollow piñata with candy, toys, or surprises through the opening.
- Seal It Shut: Cover the opening with more newspaper strips and paste to seal it. Optionally, decorate the closure with more paint or tissue paper.
- Add a Hanging String: Tape a length of string or twine to the top for hanging.
