Ingredients
- Clean glass or plastic jar
- Boiling water
- Borax (1 cup)
- Pipe cleaners
- String
- Scissors
- Pencil or stick for hanging
- Optional: Food coloring for colorful snowflakes
Instructions
- Shape the Pipe Cleaners by twisting several together to form a snowflake.
- Prepare a clean and dry jar.
- Tie a string to the snowflake and attach it to a pencil or stick.
- In a separate container, mix 1 cup of Borax with 3 cups of boiling water until dissolved.
- Add food coloring if desired.
- Pour the Borax solution into the jar and submerge the pipe cleaner snowflake.
- Let it sit undisturbed for 6-12 hours to allow crystals to form.
- Remove and rinse the snowflake under cool water.
- Allow it to dry before displaying.
Notes
Experiment with different colors and shapes for unique snowflakes. Use these as ornaments or part of a winter-themed décor.
