Transform ordinary seashells into stunning ocean-inspired decorations with this fun and easy DIY project!
Ingredients
- Clean, dry seashells
- Epsom salt (or sea salt)
- White glue (like Mod Podge)
- Food coloring (optional)
- Small bowl for mixing
- Paintbrush
- Wax paper or a non-stick surface
- Air-tight container (for drying)
Instructions
- Clean Your Shells: Ensure seashells are free of debris and completely dry. Rinse under warm water and let them air dry.
- Create the Mixture: In a small bowl, mix 1 part white glue with 2 parts Epsom salt. Stir until combined. If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to achieve your preferred hue.
- Coat the Shells: Use a paintbrush to apply a generous layer of the glue and salt mixture on the inside and/or outside of the shells. Make sure the surface is fully covered.
- Let Them Dry: Place the coated shells on wax paper or a non-stick surface. Allow them to dry for a minimum of 24 hours or until the mixture hardens and feels firm.
- Add More Crystals (Optional): For extra sparkle, you can sprinkle more Epsom salt onto the wet glue before it dries.
Notes
