Description

Create stunning DIY crystal seashells for unique home decor using simple materials and steps.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Clean, dry seashells (various sizes)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 3 cups of Epsom salt or alum
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water with 3 cups of Epsom salt or alum. Stir until fully dissolved.
  2. Add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture for a vibrant look and mix well.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the clean seashells on it.
  4. Using a spoon, gently pour the crystal solution over each seashell to ensure they are fully coated.
  5. Allow the seashells to sit at room temperature for at least 24 hours for crystal formation.
  6. Check for crystal growth after a day; if more crystals are desired, repeat the solution application.

Notes

Store finished crystal seashells in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Experiment with different salts, food coloring, or add glitter for extra sparkle.
