Create beautiful DIY crayon suncatchers using old crayons, perfect for adding color to your windows and engaging the whole family in a fun craft.
Ingredients
- Old crayons (broken or whole)
- Wax paper
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Iron
- Scissors
- Hole punch (optional)
- String or fishing line for hanging
Instructions
- Prepare the crayons by peeling off the wrappers.
- Shred the crayons into tiny pieces using a grater.
- Arrange the shredded crayons on one half of a sheet of wax paper.
- Create the suncatchers by folding the wax paper over the crayon shavings.
- Melt the crayons by pressing an iron on top of the parchment paper for 10-15 seconds.
- Cool completely and cut out shapes with scissors.
- Punch a hole in the top of each suncatcher and thread with string or fishing line for hanging.
