Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup borax powder
  • 3 cups water
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Glass jar or bowl
  • String or clean craft stick
  • Optional: glitter or sparkles for added flair

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a pot.
  2. Stir in the borax powder until it dissolves completely.
  3. Add a few drops of food coloring to the solution and mix well.
  4. Pour the colored solution into a glass jar or bowl.
  5. Tie a piece of string to a pencil or stick and hang it in the solution without touching the bottom.
  6. Leave the setup in a cool, dry place for at least 6-8 hours or overnight.
  7. Once ready, carefully take the string out and let the crystals dry on a paper towel.
  8. Display your colorful crystal stones!
