Instructions
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and 2 tsp of cream of tartar. Stir well until blended.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of vegetable oil and 1 cup of water. If using, add food coloring to the wet mixture and stir thoroughly.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Stir with a spoon until the dough begins to form.
- Knead the Dough: Transfer the mixture to a clean surface and knead with your hands. Continue kneading until the dough is fluffy and smooth, about 5 minutes.
