Description

Learn how to make your own clay diffuser stones to enjoy natural aromas in your home decor.

Ingredients

  • Air-dry clay or polymer clay
  • Essential oils (your choice of scents)
  • Small bowl or container for mixing
  • Rolling pin (if using air-dry clay)
  • Cookie cutters or molds (optional)
  • Sandpaper (for smoothing edges, if desired)
  • Paintbrush (for applying additional oils)
  • Baking sheet (if using polymer clay)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the clay by kneading it until soft and pliable. Roll out air-dry clay to about ¼ inch thickness.
  2. Shape the stones using cookie cutters or your hands, aiming for a variety of shapes and sizes.
  3. Air dry or bake your creations on a baking sheet according to polymer clay instructions, usually 15-30 minutes at 275°F, or allow air-dry clay to dry for 24-48 hours.
  4. Once dry, use a paintbrush to apply essential oil drops to each stone and let them soak in for a few hours.
  5. Place your diffuser stones in a decorative bowl or around your home and reapply oils as needed.

Notes

Customize your stones with different scents or colors, and feel free to reuse them by cleaning and reapplying oils.
