Description

Transform old CDs into vibrant suncatchers that catch and reflect sunlight, adding a colorful touch to your home or garden.

Ingredients

  • Old CDs or DVDs
  • Transparent or translucent paint
  • Paintbrushes or sponges
  • String or fishing line
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch (optional)
  • Protective sheets or newspapers
  • Adhesive gems or beads (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lay down protective sheets or newspapers to keep your work area clean.
  2. Choose your paint colors and apply to the shiny side of the CD with a paintbrush or sponge. Allow to dry completely.
  3. Add adhesive gems or beads for extra sparkle if desired.
  4. If desired, use a hole punch to create a hole near the edge of the CD or tie string around the CD.
  5. Cut a length of string or fishing line (12-18 inches) and thread it through the hole or tie it securely around the CD.
  6. Hang your suncatcher in a sunny spot and enjoy the beautiful reflections.

Notes

Customize colors and shapes to match your decor or seasonal themes. Use different materials to personalize your suncatcher.
