Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of Borax
- 3 cups of water
- A heat-resistant container (glass jar or bowl)
- A spoon for stirring
- A string or wooden stick
- Optional: food coloring
- A pot for heating water
- A stove for boiling
Instructions
- Boil 3 cups of water in a pot on the stove.
- Gradually add 1 cup of Borax, stirring continuously until fully dissolved.
- Pour the solution into your heat-resistant container.
- If desired, mix in food coloring and stir gently.
- Tie a string to a wooden stick, ensuring it hangs into the solution.
- Place the stick in the center of the container and leave it undisturbed.
- Watch the crystals grow over the next few hours or days.
- Once ready, carefully remove the string and allow the crystals to dry on a paper towel.
