Description

Create beautiful and vibrant blue crayon suncatchers that brighten up any room with colorful hues.

Ingredients

  • Blue crayons (other colors can also be used)
  • Oven-safe silicone mold (shapes like hearts, stars, or circles)
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Grater or knife (for shaving crayons)
  • String or fishing line (for hanging)
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Prepare Crayons: Remove wrappers from blue crayons and use a grater or knife to shave them into small pieces.
  2. Fill the Molds: Sprinkle the grated crayon pieces evenly into the silicone mold.
  3. Bake: Preheat your oven to 250°F (121°C). Place the filled mold on a baking sheet and slide it into the oven. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the crayons are melted.
  4. Cool and Remove: Carefully remove the mold from the oven and allow it to cool completely (about 30 minutes). Once cool, gently pop the suncatchers out of the mold.
  5. Hang: Use scissors to cut a piece of string or fishing line and attach it to your suncatcher. Hang your creation in a sunny window!

Notes

Consider customizing colors and shapes or adding glitter for a unique twist. Always monitor the melting process to avoid burning!
