Description

A fun and colorful DIY project to create beautiful suncatchers from crayons, perfect for all ages.

Ingredients

  • Blue crayons (or any color of your choice)
  • Wax paper
  • Iron
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Clear string or fishing line (for hanging)
  • Shapes to trace (like raindrop templates)

Instructions

  1. Peel the wrappers off your blue crayons and break them into small pieces (about 1-inch lengths).
  2. Lay a sheet of wax paper on your working surface and sprinkle the crayon pieces onto it, spreading them out evenly.
  3. Place another sheet of wax paper on top and use an iron on a low setting to gently press down, melting the crayon pieces.
  4. Let the melted crayon cool for a few minutes until solid, then peel off the wax paper and cut out desired shapes.
  5. Attach a piece of clear string or fishing line to the top for hanging and place in a sunny window.

Notes

Experiment with colors and shapes for creative variations. Ensure to handle hot surfaces with care when using the iron.
