- 1/2 cup unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- Cookie cutters (shapes of your choice)
- Twine or string (for hanging)
- Wax paper or parchment paper
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the unflavored gelatin and water. Stir gently until the gelatin dissolves completely. Add corn syrup to the mixture and stir well.
- Gradually add the birdseed to the gelatin mixture, stirring continuously until fully coated.
- Place wax paper on your working surface. Pack the birdseed mixture into cookie cutters tightly.
- Make a small hole at the top of each ornament and loop a piece of twine through for hanging.
- Set aside to dry completely, which may take several hours or overnight.
- Gently remove ornaments from cookie cutters and hang them on trees or outdoor feeders. Enjoy observing the birds!
