Description

Create beautiful, eco-friendly suncatchers using bioplastic made from natural ingredients, perfect for brightening up any space.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of corn syrup
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Wax paper
  • Cookie cutters or various shapes for cutting
  • Paintbrush (for applying food coloring)
  • A pot for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine cornstarch, water, vinegar, and corn syrup. Stir until smooth.
  2. Place the pot on medium heat and continuously stir until the mixture thickens (5-7 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and mix in food coloring if desired.
  4. On wax paper, pour the mixture to about 1/4 inch thick, and use cookie cutters to create shapes while warm. Allow to cool and harden.
  5. Once dried, carefully peel the shapes off, and hang them in windows to catch sunlight.
