Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of corn starch
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • Cookie cutters or stencils (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Spatula
  • A paintbrush (for spreading if desired)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of corn syrup, and 2 tablespoons of corn starch. Stir over low heat until thickened (5-10 minutes).
  2. Remove from heat, let it cool slightly, and add food coloring to achieve your desired color.
  3. Lay out wax paper or parchment paper, pour the colored bioplastic, and spread it out with a spatula.
  4. Let the suncatchers dry at room temperature for about 24 hours.
  5. Once set, trim any rough edges and hang the suncatchers using tape or string.
