Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon glycerin
- Food coloring (optional)
- Wax paper or silicone baking mat
- Craft knife or scissors
- String for hanging (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of glycerin. Stir over medium heat until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Stir in food coloring to achieve desired hue.
- Pour mixture onto wax paper or silicone mat in desired shapes, spreading to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Allow to dry for about 24 hours.
- Carefully peel off the wax paper and trim uneven edges with a craft knife or scissors.
- Punch a hole for string if desired, then display in a sunny window.
